Shahid Rajaei Cardiovascular Educational, Research and Treatment Institute (Shahid Rajaei Heart Hospital) is one of the largest heart hospitals in Asia. This center has received its operating license from the Ministry of Health, Treatment and Medical Education and is under the supervision of the same ministry. It is an academic and governmental center. This institute is the scientific hub of heart medicine in the country. In addition to providing diagnostic and therapeutic services, this institute provides preventive medicine and health promotion services and, at the same time, conducts scientific retraining of doctors and other medical and nursing staff by holding seminars, conferences and scientific medical congresses. The Iranian Cardiovascular Research Institute is also located in this institute.
